Vacuums boost safety
September 1st 2005

Panelboard producer Norbord has commissioned two Nilfisk-Alto Attix 791- 2M/B1 health and safety vacuums to ensure shopfloor cleanliness and a safe working environment at its South Molton site.

The machines are designed for prolonged cleaning duties in tough conditions and comply with European standards for working in ATEX Type 22 environments with explosive dust. Anti-static performance is assured with a conductive hose, fittings and link from vacuum inlet to earth to prevent sparks or shocks.

Simple to maintain, they have washable M-Class PET fleece filter elements and corrosion-proof 70L stainless steel cylinders that are easy to empty. The noise level of the 1500W motor is 57dB(A) while the machine is producing an airflow of 3400L/min and a vacuum of 250mbar.
