A 2.2kW heavy duty industrial vacuum cleaner from Barloworld Vacuum Technology's BVC Combi range is used by Novelis Foil & Technical Products at its Bridgnorth plant to transfer hot wax at 140°C from a holding unit to a 200L storage drum.

Using special heat resistant hoses, the wax can be safely and efficiently transferred in a fraction of the time taken by a former method.

Duncan Gaudan, converting centre quality and safety coordinator, says the BVC vacuum and new working method has helped the company in its ongoing campaign to minimise the risk of accidents, reduce waste and improve the environment. www.euromec.co.uk www.euromec.co.uk
