Also in the Nilfisk-Alto news is the announcement that HSS Hire is introducing a nationwide fleet of industrial vacuums from Nilfisk. The cleaning hire market is growing strongly especially in environments where health and safety issues can arise.

The units selected include Wet & Dry models for large scale cleaning and Health & Safety vacuums for use in explosive and fine dust environments.

HSS is targeting the machines in two key areas, says Colin Brown, product director at HSS. "The building sector needs high performance vacuums to deal with both fine dust and bulky debris, while the facilities management industry has major cleaning contracts for hospitals and other workplaces requiring high levels of cleanliness.

"The new products offer the latest technology combined with a high degree of functionality. Our customers are looking for high performance without the need to frequently unblock filters."
