4 hour wall
November 1st 2005

Eurobond now offers an improved fire resistance performance for its range of non-combustible composite wall panels, widely used in manufacturing facilities and warehouses.

The company has been working closely with the Loss Prevention Certification Board following recent product developments.

Under BS 476 Pt 22 Fire Resistance Wall Test, 150mm thick Rockspan panels achieved 4h integral resistance to the passage of fire or smoke. To make the test more severe, panels spanned 9m with no intermediate supports as may be required on an actual site subject to wind loadings.

The 4h rating means Rockspan will conform to the most demanding fire resistance in the LPCB Design guide.
