Giraffe prevents stooping July 1st 2005 Staff at Roundel Manufacturing in Washington, Tyne & Wear, no longer have to stoop and twist in order to move floor-stacked furniture panels to a machine for drilling and edging.
Supplied by Handling Equipment Sales, the Kentruck GXN1200 Giraffe, with a fork width of 685mm, enables panels to be handled safely and easily.
The operator uses the truck initially as a pallet truck, enabling bulk panel stocks to be manoeuvred to the workstation.
Once the stack height has been manually positioned, a simple setting of the electronic height adjuster is all that is needed to ensure that each panel is presented at the optimum level for transfer.
Every unit within the stack, which can contain several hundred panels, is as accessible as the first. More articles from Handling Equipment Sales Ltd: |
