Networked access control system
May 1st 2007

Access control system integrators and installers can now offer users in the retail, commercial and public authority sectors a networked version of EasyOpen, the 'Prox' access control system, already used as a stand-alone product.

Available from Coastform Systems, EasyOpen systems use non-contact RFID proximity technology to authorise access to buildings and areas secured by doors, gates or barriers. designed to replace conventional locks and entry systems, EasyOpen uses either keyfob or ISOcard RFID TinyTags (electronic keys) to replace keys and swipe cards. Simply holding an authorised TinyTag within 100mm of the reader is all that is necessary to gain access.

A networked EasyOpen system has a 5000 user capacity and any one segment of the network can control up to 128 separate doors using a series of four-door controllers. Each controller is available either as a bare board or housed in a white, powder-coated steel cabinet together with a 3A power supply and room for a backup battery.

There are no external components to fail or to be vandalised, as only a reader needs mounting outside each door, gate or barrier on the network.
