New contract to test fall arrest systems
July 1st 2005

The safety division of OCS Technical has been awarded a contract to test fall arrest systems, eyebolts and guardrailing for pharmaceutical giant AstraZeneca.

Engineers and surveyors will test systems, make suggestions for improvements and provide advice on the most appropriate safety systems for use.

OCS eyebolts are used with full body safety harnesses and lanyards up to 2m long that incorporate energy-absorbing devices.

Engineers will maintain and test each one in compliance with BS7883:1997.

Chris Cracknell, chief executive, says “OCS Technical was awarded this contract because we are able to provide one complete contract to a client who previously had two separate suppliers in place.”
