Roof safety
July 1st 2005

Safety guardrailing that uses fittings from the Kee Klamp range has been installed on the roof of the National Grid Transco headquarters in Warwick. More than 900m of guardrailing now surrounds the roof edge of the four storey building.

Fixed to the raised parapet, the structure ensures that employees and contractors can work in safety, carrying out essential maintenance work and accessing rooftop plant. The Kee Klamp fittings ensured that the structure could accommodate the changes in angle required to fit the curved roof edge of the building.

The easy-to-use, galvanised malleable iron fittings allow quick and simple connection of pre-cut lengths of tubing to form guardrailing and other types of tubular framework. All fittings have integral socket set screw with corrosion resistant Kee Koat coating. The set screw locks the fitting onto its tube to give a good slip load performance.
