Kaba Door Systems has introduced a new door drive and control system that, it believes, will revolutionise the safety and operation of industrial overhead doors and roller shutters.

Koax, a separated extra low voltage DC motor drive and control system, is passively safe and eradicates the need for torsion springs, haulchains and other conventional system components.

The company says that removing the spring and using a Zero back drive safety coupling, makes Koax ultra reliable.

Suitable for use on new installations and retrofitting to all door makes, the product is quick and cost effective to install and maintain.
