Oriel Systems is to supply and integrate CCTV and remote monitoring and control equipment into all BP LPG sites across the UK.

Playing a key role is the company’s Video Intelligent Telemetry Outstations (VITO).

Oriel’s PC-based control and monitoring software system was installed at a central control station in Scotland, from which all VITOs can be monitored, and at each site.

From the overview screen, the central control operator grants the tanker driver permission to commence re-fuelling and a timeband is allocated. During this time band all critical and emergency systems, such as the fire pump and deluge system, operate nonstop.

Once the time band has been exceeded, systems automatically shut down.
