Steel partitions January 1st 2006 Excalibur double skin steel partitioning from Troax UK has been used to construct more than 400m2 of customdesigned production facilities for Morgan Advanced Ceramics at its new facility in Rugby.
The company processes material from powder form to finished components. To accommodate much of the equipment used in these processes, 25 different production areas were created using the partitions.
Each area was custom- built to house specific machinery and isolate processes. The partitioning reaches a height of 2.5m and, in some places, reaches into the roof space.
It incorporates glazed panels as well as veneered timber, double-swing doors.
The partitioning's two steel skins are separated by a composite insulating infill.
Its design provides good sound and heat insulation and is half-hour fire rated.
