Manual handling poses serious risks to the health of employees that can be alleviated through effective training.

The Chartered Institute of Environmental Health encourages employers to recognise the benefits of professional accredited training, to ensure best practice is shared throughout the business and is valued by customers and suppliers.

The CIEH Principals of Manual Handling certificate is a one-day qualification that teaches employees to recognise and identify the hazards of manual handling, the risks involved and controls available, including what to expect from a manual handling assessment.
