Helps to cut costs in high ceilinged buildings September 1st 2004 The Economiser fan from Airflow Developments helps to reduce energy costs in high ceilinged buildings. It takes warm air from the roof void and re-directs it back to floor level where it is needed most. The unit is supplied with an integral thermostat to ensure continual heat recirculation to the required temperature.
An optional variable speed controller enables the speed of the fan to be set for particular conditions. Speed can also be set to maximum for an initial boost of heat recovery and then reset at a lower rate for quieter energy efficient operation.
The fan uses a low watt motor, so running costs are low. The company says it can reduce heating costs by up to 30% depending on building design, level of heating required and temperature differential. As the unit needs to be installed high in the roof void, Airflow has designed it to need minimal maintenance. More articles from Airflow Developments Ltd: |
