Maintains comfort for staff September 1st 2003 Conversion of an old Kimberly Clark paper factory in Kent, to a manufacturing facility for extruded aluminium greenhouse frames called for an energy-efficient heating system that would maintain constant temperatures for production line staff.
When Halls Garden Products took over the factory in late 2002 there was no usable wall space down one side of the building and only limited gas supply to the premises.
Reznor designed a system that positioned seven C4000 compact gas-fired warm air heaters, each with an output of 72kW, along one 80m wall of the production area. For even heat coverage, four Maximisor recirculation fans were installed in the roof space. These redistribute warm air to maintain a warm working atmosphere for employees.
The configuration allowed heater flues to pass through the wall and terminate there, avoiding complicated gas supply runs. More articles from Reznor (UK) Ltd: |
