Trust advice May 1st 2008 Diamond Power Speciality has
installed Reznor floor-standing
warm air heaters as part of a lowenergy
building design solution in
its new Dumbarton plant. At design
stage, Diamond Power worked with
the Carbon Trust and as a result of
implementing the Carbon Trust's
design advice, estimated cost
savings for the new building are
£27,000pa, and annual emissions
reductions are around 163t of CO2.
For heating, 10 Reznor floorstanding
warm air heaters, ranging
in output from 30kW to 140kW,
were installed around the
production, high-bay warehouse
and despatch areas of the plant.
The units are high-efficiency
modules equipped with modulating
burners and a fresh-air ventilation
option. The heaters are configured
to warm the premises to 19 to
22°C, with automatic shut-off when
the upper limit is reached. "We are
already seeing quite a savings in
fuel costs simply from the ability to
control on and off cycles," says
Hugh Coyle Diamond Power
health, safety & environment
officer. More articles from Reznor (UK) Ltd: |
