Fast drying July 1st 2005 An infrared drying system from Heraeus Noblelight has helped SSK Products to realise the potential output capacity of a new production line at its Telford factory.
After pressing and degreasing, switches and sockets are painted on an automated spray line and finish dried before final assembly.
Following successful trials, the electric IR system was installed for a new spray line at the factory.
It consists of two 18kW medium wave cassettes, each containing nine 2kW emitters, and is sited immediately after the solvent flashoff tunnel. A blank cassette has been fitted to allow for increases in production output.
The system dries lacquered and painted products at the rates required to ensure the full potential of the production line is realised. More articles from Heraeus Noblelight Ltd: |
