March 1st 2007 After extensive research into washroom habits and preferences in a wide range of industries, Metsä Tissue has introduced a new range of Katrin dispensers. Included are hand towel, soap and toilet tissue dispensers, air fresheners and feminine hygiene and waste paper bins. Metsä Tissue conducted a range of surveys into how people use washrooms and what they want in a good washroom. The results, unsurprisingly, revealed that people want public washrooms to be clean, appealing and fresh. A well maintained washrooms is considered by most to be part of a brand experience that affects users' overall opinions of a business. Additionally, the surveys revealed that the nicer a washroom is, the more likely users are to practice good hand hygiene, which is one of the most effective methods of maintaining a healthy environment. The new Katrin range of dispensers and accessories is equipped with an ergonomic duplex locking system, allowing for keyed or keyless functionality depending on whether security or ease of access is more important. New additions to the range include a toilet seat disinfectant foam and a new foam hand soap for prestige washrooms. Other key features include no-touch covering lids on waste bins to maintain hand hygiene and hand towel dispensers that ensure only one towel is dispensed at a time.
