The internal surfaces of gas bottles and other cylindrical metal containers can be cleaned automatically and consistently in less than 3min in an abrasive blast cabinet from Hodge Clemco.

Items can be from 55 to 205mm internal diameter and from 76 to 1200mm high. They are placed on a rotating turntable inside the cabinet. Abrasive material is then projected at the internal surface through a lance that gradually rises inside the container. Different abrasives can be used to suit the material involved and the effect required. Speed is controlled through a touch-screen panel.
