Additional compactors July 1st 2007 Randalls Fabrications, a
member of the Skip Units
Group, has supplied three
more Simpak 1800 waste
compactors to Renfrewshire
Council's Environmental
services department for use
on civic amenity sites.
The machines will compact
waste that is not suitable
for rcycling. They have a
hydraulically-operated
hopper, designed to give
more loading area. Sides
are split-level, so the public
can unload waste directly
into hoppers; They are
serviced from the level below.
The device compacts
waste efficently; an average
of 8t per container can be
obtained. It has a 1.7m3
charge box and 7.5kw motor
driving up to a nominal
130m3/h at a compaction
