Disposable kit quickly cleans up spills
November 1st 2006 Removing the need for dustpan, mop and bucket, a compact and disposable spill kit from 3M contains everything needed to clear up a spill in one box. The kit has been designed to increase the speed and efficiency of clearing up spills and improve the safety of employees. The carry box doubles as a dustpan and contains protective gloves, a specially designed brush for clearing up broken glass and debris, and two piece of 3M Sorebent material that can soak up to 1.5L of liquid. A locking mechanism on the dustpan keeps sorbent, broken glass, debris and liquid safety together. When the spill has been cleaned, the dustpan can be placed into the integral disposal bag, tied and, if necessary, labelled as hazardous waste. The kit can be used to deal with water-based and solvent based liquids, liquid detergents, alcoholic drinks, solvent-based inks and paints, non-aggressive chemicals, body-fluids, vinegar, milk and oil.
