Waste unit
March 1st 2008 Randalls Fabrications, member of
the Skip Units Group, has supplied
a PP10 portable waste compactor
to the conference centre at the
Macdonalds Aviemore Highland
Resort. It is used to collect general
waste and is removed once a week
by contractors who empty and
return it within a few hours.
The Simpak PP10H has a
capacity of 10m3 and can process
about 1.5m3 of waste per minute.
This is achieved by a heavy-duty
5.5kW motor which, coupled with a
fast-cycle compaction blade, exerts
a compaction force of 17 000kg.
Safety features include controls
that are contained in an enclosed
compartment on top of the
machine and a charging area that
is protected by hinged, lockable
steel doors that are safety-switched
so the machine cannot be
