Controller for cutting machines September 1st 2005 Designed to control medium sized portal profile cutting machines, Esab Automation’s new Vision LE provides a graphical user interface on a PC-based system that is said to be both simple yet reliable.
On-screen graphics and features such as the soft-key menu and speed potentiometer, allow fingertip control of cutting.
A library of 65 shapes allows the operator to create commonly used shapes. A simple user interface allows the operator to select the desired shape graphically, enter required dimensions, and see a graphical preview of the part before cutting the new program. Simple shapes can be programmed directly on the controller.
An 8-position joystick is provided for easy and fast machine positioning. Cutting accuracy is ensured with the kerf on the fly/kerf override. This cut width path compensation is fast and kerf width can be changed during program execution, allowing the operator to fine tune part size. More articles from ESAB Cutting Systems: |
