Conversion package
July 1st 2008 A new conversion package from
Esab Cutting Systems allows oxyfuel
cutting machine manufacturers
to convert simply to Cooljet cutting
torch technology.
For fully automated cutting
processes, the robust Cooljet torch
features a fully integrated oxygen
cooling system that ensures high
productivity levels, economy and
safe operation.
The Cooljet heating flame heats
the raw material to ignition point
and, at the same time, a small
amount of heating oxygen flows via
the cool flow valve through the
cutting channel. This cools the
cutting nozzle efficiently and
prevents hot gases from rising into
the cutting channel. Oxygen
passes into the heating flame,
making it effective.
The kits (for acetylene or
propane/natural gas/mixed fuel
gas) include torches, heating and
cutting nozzles, safety devices,
shut-off valve, cleaning needles
