to change its water-based
cutting fluid to Rocol's
Accu-Lube near dry
machining microlubricating
system.
Roger Pimm, project
engineer, explains "We
were replacing the coolant
every couple of months
and with a machine with a
1000L tank it could take up
to 4h to change, resulting
in downtime. Additionally, it
was causing a slipping
hazard on the floor."
The Accu-Lube range
comprises natural based
lubricants and a specially
developed microlubrication
systems for
near-dry machining. The
range is bio-degradable,
non-toxic and non-allergic.
A two nozzle Accu-Lube
applicator was attached to
the vertical machining
centre and filled with the
Accu-Lube 2000.
The result for Daido has
been a cleaner and safer
working environment and
savings in terms of
housekeeping of the
machine, improved
production levels and
