all ESAB cutting and marking
processes and provide real time
monitoring, controlling and
reporting, ESAB Cutting Systems
has instructed PDM (Production
Data Management) software.
The company says it will help
users achieve lower operational
costs and reduced cycle times,
while giving total transparency to
all cutting and marking activities.
A modular package, basic PDM
embraces a number of software
tools covering functions and as the
fully automated recording of all
machine and process data of
ESAB cutting machines, which
allows analysis of performance.
The PDM Database module
provides data storage for planned
production tasks and monitors
reported data. The Workshop View
provides automatically updated
visualisation of all machines and
workplaces connected to the
system. The Maintenance module
records the wear and use of
