Press maker benefits from new vertical panel saw May 1st 2007 AStriebig Compact 4164
vertical panel saw has
brought benefits to
Bagpress of Letchworth, a
manufacturer of electric vacuum
press kits and veneered panels.
The 4.2m long saw is an entry
level model, suitable for the smaller
workshop and is said to guarantee
precise, accurate cuts with perfect
edges on panels to a maximum
size of 3.1 by 1.6m.
Incorporating an optional digital
measuring system, it has helped
Bagpress cope with new business
from a kitchen manufacturer for
curved, veneered panels, as well
as a general increase in orders.
Another use is in the
dimensioning of the plywood parts
used to make frames for the
smaller electric vacuum presses
and for cutting the supports for the
larger industrial models.
For the company's panel-making
service, it sizes plywood and MDF
panels, sheets of laminate and
structural foam 1.5 to 50mm thick,
with the thinner panels placed on
the saw in multiples.
Using the Striebig's digital
readout system, the company no
longer has to check components
after they come off the saw.

140H mobile extraction unit which
is believed to be among the
quietest dust extractors available. More articles from T M Machinery Sales Ltd: |
