Under the microscope
September 1st 2007 Vargus Tooling has expanded its
MiniPro Threading Solution range
with the new Microscope line of
single-ended micro tools. Featuring
high wear-resistant VBX TiCN-coated
inserts (of 4 mm, 5 mm, 6 mm or 7
mm diameter) for both high and low
cutting speed tasks, the range is
suitable for popular applications;
threading, boring and grooving.
The newest addition to Vargus
Tooling MiniPro line of Threading
Solutions – Mini, PowerBore and
double-ended Micro – the
Microscope also features a new
clamping system using a single
screw, together with a slanted
location system for precise radial
and axial positioning, said to
ensure highly repeatable edge
height and overhang.
A large coolant channel and two
nozzles for chip evacuation and
cooling enable the new tooling to
upgrade existing small bore
