Waterjet cutting system
September 1st 2005

KMT Cutting Systems has been awarded its first order in Australia.

Johnson Controls of Melbourne, a supplier to General Motors and Ford in Australia, has purchased a Cutting Box Stationary IV waterjet cutting system with two robots and a new intensifier to supply very high pressure water to the system.

The Cutting Box Stationary IV system will have a ‘handshake’ capability, allowing it to communicate with the moulding system producing the headliners.

This ensures a smooth transfer of parts, whereby the waterjet system is fed automatically with parts on a conveyor from the moulding plant.

There are different types of Cutting Box, allowing the customer to match the system to their requirements, taking into account capacity, production environment, costs, safety, ergonomics and compatibility with other waterjet systems.
