Stainless steel connector housing May 1st 2007 Han-INOX from HARTING is a new
range of industrial connector
housing made of high-grade
stainless steel to provide protection
against corrosion in applications
such as the food and beverage
and other processing industries.
The new housing is said to offer
rugged, corrosion-free, IP 65/67
protected connections to ensure
reliable operation in the toughest
external environments. Han-INOX
is available for connector sizes Han
10B and Han 3A and is equally
suited to data transfer or energy
supply applications.
The corrosion-resistant
properties of stainless steel make it
suitable for use in environments
that are subject to rapid
contamination as well as in areas
where hygiene is a top priority.
In these situations, all machine
components must specify special
criteria. Their housings must
exhibit no unnecessary apertures,
blind holes or undercuts.
In addition, the surfaces must be
predominantly smooth in order to
ensure that no deposits of dirt are
formed and the relevant areas can
be easily cleaned.
This can be achieved when
Han-INOX is used with the Han
10B connector, where the internal
fixing screws of the housing
combined with the rounded shape
of the connector casing make
cleaning a simple operation with
no residue. More articles from Harting Limited: |
