A new 300kN turret punch press has been introduced by Finn-Power and will be launched in the UK at MACH 2004 on the stand of its UK agent, Press & Shear. It is designed for high performance punching, nibbling and forming of sheet to 2500 by 1250mm without repositioning, although components down to A4 size can be loaded and processed without difficulty. The compact press, known as C5, features Finn-Powers 20-station turret, flexible toolholder system, programmable clamp setting, and a range of options including tapping units. Nibbling speed is to 1100 hits/ min and there is the option of Siemens or Fanuc cnc, including Ethernet connection, modem and fast NC program download as a standard. Ease of operation is enhanced by Windows-based software. The Press & Shear stand will also feature an HGL hydraulic swing-beam shear and a range of robustly built cnc and nc hydraulic press brakes from Baykal, as well as the latest version of sheet metal fabrication cadcam software from Jetcam International.
