Layton Technologies has developed a new remotely monitored multistage aqueous, ultrasonic system for the precision cleaning of vacuum components. The five stage cleaning and drying system uses an enclosed multistage washing plant built almost entirely in stainless steel with automated control for consistency of process and minimum operator intervention. Remote support via an on-board modem link allows the machines operating software to be remotely accessed to provide on-line fault diagnosis and remedy. The same telemetry can also support on-site staff where changes to process programmes may be needed.
