Coolant Pump
November 1st 2005

Wanner International says its Hydra-Cell seal-less coolant pumps are unaffected by recirculating fines in dirty coolant that can destroy rotary and piston pumps. The company believes that filtration systems can now be designed to meet the requirements of the machine process rather than the coolant pump.

The Hydra-Cell pump is low maintenance and can be run dry without damage. As the pumps do not use coolant to lubricate or cool the pump, almost any type of coolant can be pumped, including solvent-based ones, non-lubricating, eco-friendly, water-mix fluids and neat oils.

As the Hydra-Cell is a positive displacement pump, coolant flow can be changed by changing the speed of the pump shaft. There is no need for wasteful fluid bypass when changing to a tool with reduced coolant flow needs.
