Debut for 6-axis articulated robot
May 1st 2004

Rexroth has introduced new 6-axis articulated robots that are based on the same operating platform as its turboscara plus series, but with two additional axes of movement and an increased payload.

The 6-axis configuration of the AR6 and ARG robots allows them to assume any position in the workspace when performing pick and place, assembly or machine feeding tasks.

The AR6 has a 650mm working radius and the AR8 an 850mm range. Both transport payloads to 5kg at high speeds with a repetitive precision of 0.02mm.

Streamlined design and comparatively low gross weight gives the AR series a good size:weight ratio and meets the space requirements of most automation applications, with optional table or ceiling mounting providing added positioning flexibility. The robots use the common IQ200 control platform.
