Digital but has analogue feel
September 1st 2003

New to the Sonatest digital flaw detector range is a value for money high performance detector the Masterscan 333. Its main attributes are exceptional near surface resolution, high penetrating power and good signal to noise ratio. Based on the Masterscan 340, price reduction is afforded by elimination of the more powerful secondary 400v pulsar. Features include: programmable pulse width and damping for transducer optimisation, range 0-1mm through to 0-20m, choice of colour TFT or monochrome lcd, up to 15 hours battery life (lcd), and RS232, video and proportional analogue outputs. This simple to use flaw detector uses all the time saving and storage functions associated with digital technology, while retaining the traditional design and analogue feel that operators prefer.
