Recycling of wash liquids September 1st 2003 Alfa Laval has introduced the AlfaPure 7000, a skid-mounted system for cost efficient recycling of wash liquids, coolants and mineral oils.
The AlfaPure 7000 removes all trace of tramp oil, grease and solids particles down to 1 from wash liquids and coolants and water and solids from oil-based products. The result is a reduction in coolant waste, extended tool life and lower costs both for coolant replacement and disposal.
A completely modular system, at the heart of the AlfaPure 7000 is a disk-stack centrifugal separator that is capable of separating three phases eg. oil, water and sludge from each other on a continuous basis at a throughput rate of 8000l/h. The centrifuge is mounted, along with all of the necessary ancillary equipment and controls, on a single skid with a footprint of just 2m2.
Simplicity is a key feature. Once in place, the machine operates on a continuous basis with any accumulated sludge being pumped to a disposal container. For maximum convenience, the module has two sides an operating side and a service side. Both start-up and control unit are on the operation side while the service side provides rapid access, to the separator, tanks, pumps and other ancillary equipment.
