Saw for small diameters January 1st 2009 New from sawing technology
specialist, RSA, is RASACUT XS – a
high performance circular saw for
small diameters. Geared towards preproduction
applications, where
multi-cut or bundle cut saws are
generally used for the production of
large batches with diameters up to
25mm, the new RSA development
uses a single cut for improved quality
and reduced piece costs.
In contrast to bundle cut saws,
which require tubes to be manually
counted, fixed with adhesive tape
and inserted into a prismatic feed
guide, with the RASACUT XS tubes
are automatically singled and fed. As
a result, personnel costs are lowered
because one person can operate
several saws.
The modular nature of RASACUT
XS means that several processes – for
example, deburring or facing and
chamfering, checking of lengths,
roundness or chamfer, as well as
cleaning and stacking – can be
carried out on the same line as the
sawing. More articles from RSA Entgrat- U.: |
