VMC with choice of control
September 1st 2004

A vertical machining centre with a high performance to competitive price ratio, the Richmond VMC 600 is now available with options of Fanuc Oi-MB or the latest Anilam 6000 CNC system.

This control option incorporates the conversational ‘Machinist’ language programming routines with g-Code programming on a digital platform.

Available from 600 Centre, the Richmond machine is based on a rigid build quality, having 15mm thick Meehanita base casting with deep column and base walls that have been annealed and stress relieved to enable high rates of metal removal with longevity of production life.

Machine capacities are said to be greater than normally available for a vertical machining centre of this type, with 40mm dia laser calibrated ballscrews, 560mm Yaxis and Z-axis, 600mm X-axis and 625mm throat dimension.

Table length is 750 by 510mm and has a load capacity of 700kg.
