Spindle speeds to 50 000 revs/min can now be obtained on the Fanuc Robodrill Alpha T21 D-Series following a customised package development by 600 Centre.

This development, in conjunction with the machine’s Auto Intelligence contour control, Nano contouring technology and Jerk control option with fast response servo motors, enables ultra-fine tools as small as 0.1mm dia to be used. In addition, hardened steel can be milled or ground using the high spindle speed within a single production cycle of the vertical machining centre.

The silent, high speed spindle matches the short cycling ability of the T21 D-Series Robodrill that has a slideway acceleration of 1.5G to 54m/min rapid traverse.
