Castrol Industrial Lubricants & Services has introduced a water soluble cutting and grinding fluid specifically designed for the metalworking industry for use with both aluminium and magnesium alloys.

Castrol Hysol AM, achieves compatibility and performance with aluminium and magnesium, making it possible to machine both metals without sacrificing part quality or incurring unnecessary production delays for machine cleaning and fluid changes.

In extensive laboratory tests, and field and customer trials, Hysol AM has proved effective with water hardness in excess of the 3000ppm typically encountered when machining magnesium alloys.
