New medium capacity arc spray systems July 1st 2004 Two new Arc models have been added by Metallisation to its Arcspray 140 system.
The Arc 140E, aimed at the engineering sector, and the Arc 140GP, are medium capacity, lightweight Arcspray systems. The pistols are lightweight because there is no motor on the pistol due to its special flexible drive system.
Both models feature new, powerful, precisely controlled electric drive units. Benefits claimed include repeatable and consistent wire speed control that gives a consistent spray, soft start that gives a smooth set up, and a sealed motor for reliability in industrial environments.
Both systems offer the constant geometry (CG) head that ensures reliable alignment of the wire for long periods, giving consistent spray quality and ease of maintenance.
Arc 140E can be used for the application of engineering coatings (with a 250a energiser), for reclamation of a variety of parts, including bearing and seal surfaces. The Arc 140GP can be used to apply anti-corrosion coatings (with a 250 or 450a energiser) and engineering coatings to, for example, structural steelwork, boilers, tanks and vessels. |
