November 1st 2003 Low-cost cleaning of small batches of metal, plastic or glass components using non-halogenated solvents is possible using a compact cleaning system from Drr Ecoclean.
The system incorporates energy-saving continuous distillation and solvent preparation that enables an efficient and optimised cleaning solution to be achieved.
The compact Minio 85C, available from StarragHeckert UK, has been developed to enable localised cleaning of components, such as those in a manufacturing cell or assembly area. It has a footprint of just 1000 by 2000mm, yet the single chamber, front-loaded hydrocarbon cleaning system has a basket size of 380 by 220 by 200mm and, dependent on treatment time and process, can handle up to six loads an hour weighing up to 50kg.
