Fast and economical
January 1st 2004

Rexroth claims to have introduced the fastest, most economical and safest swivel arm robots in their class. The new turboscara SR4/6/8 plus series is said to be up to 30% faster with standard cycles down to <300ms. The robots offer bearing loads to 8kg, reach to 800mm and rapid start-up as a result of an integrated absolute encoder system. Table mounted with stand and wall mounting options, units offers plug & play gripper installation on the robot arms, onboard button for driveless teaching, new power supply module that gives safety class III capabilities, and a motion controller incorporating flash technology and 128Mb ram for faster execution. Also new are sealed SR6/8 versions for cleanroom and dustproof applications, and the latest easyrobot software.
