May 1st 2005 Available from Mitutoyo (UK) is a micrometer with a new-style thimble and newly developed ratched mechanism that is said to allow higher accuracy in one-handed measurements.
The 0 to 25mm range instrument has a ratchet function working from both the thimble and the speeder.
