A new service for the power industry, based on a new generation of inspection equipment teamed with the latest testing rigs, is offered by Veritec Sonomatic.

The service covers the routine inspection and emergency testing of both turbine rotor shafts (Boresonic) and of generator retaining rings. It features the company’s Microplus Compact, an advanced ultrasonic system for non-destructive testing, defect characterisation and product sentencing.

The equipment, coupled with advanced test rigs, gives easy-tointerpret, high definition test data, yet minimises preparation and testing time to give fast turn-around and reduced costs.
