New SNC Plummer Block Housings March 19th 2008 SNR announces the launch of their new SNC Plummer Blocks which have now been released after a 3 year development programme.
Specifically designed to provide excellent rigidity and stability under all loading conditions, the housings have also been optimized to enhance resistance to vibration. Intelligent modeling has been used to improve the heat dissipation characteristics in order to provide a cooler running temperature for the bearing and its lubricant.
An optional Grease Regulation Disk mounted on the shaft, conveys excess grease away from the bearing and in extreme conditions can help the bearing operate up to 20°C cooler, prolonging the useful life of the grease and thereby the bearing.
A variety of new features have been incorporated to make the housings easier to use and maintain, including pre-drilled and plugged holes for grease lubrication and drainage, and for convenience all housings are supplied with two types of grease nipple. Five different sealing systems are available to provide protection from a variety of external environments including, the most severe.
