POLISHING SOLUTIONS

The polishing of bent tubes, handrails, aluminium extrusions and hollow sections is a difficult operation. A semi-automatic machine from Surtech offers a solution.

The Model PLZ 100 needs no particular skills to operate and polishes quickly and consistently. It consists of a planetary disc drive with two abrasive belt heads. Both disc and belt rotate around the tube while it is manually fed through the machine. The tube does not rotate.

Coarse abrasive belts can be used for the removal of surface imperfections, fine abrasive belts for finishing and abrasive impregnated nylon belts for satinising. Superfinishing belts achieve a commercial mirror polish.

There is no restriction on the length of tube and the machine can handle tube diameters from 10 to 100mm.
