TOOL RANGE January 1st 2005 Makita’s range of metalwork tools has been expanded with the inclusion of an 1100W handheld metal cutting circular saw that will slice through 4mm of sheet steel with its 185mm diamond edge cutting disc.
The Makita 4131/1 is designed for cladding type sheet installation work where the integrated sheet steel faced insulation cladding panel needs to be sized.
It has a maximum throat depth of 63mm so a single pass will cut the panel to size with a neat finished edge to the steel skin. The machine collects its own swarf in a steel container that is also the blade side protection panel.
The company has also introduced a 1600kW angle sander/polisher, 32 000rpm cut-out tool and two-speed heat gun. More articles from Makita UK Ltd: |
