Tooling range extended

Available from Advanced Carbide Tooling, the Microna range of round-shank face-grooving tooling now includes a wider choice of insert widths, blade reach dimensions, shank diameters and other specifications. There are now more than 150 standard toolholders in the range.

The tooling is developed for axial and internal machining or for mounting in a rotating spindle.

There are now standard tools for 2, 2.5, 3, 4, 5 and 6mm inserts, with shanks from 16 to 40mm dia, all in left-hand and right-hand versions.

Insert support blades are 12, 20, 25 or 32mm long and the reach can be increased by modifying the insert clamp or the shoulder of the toolholder.
