MARKING ROLE September 1st 2005 Injection-moulded parts can now be marked sequentially during the moulding process using Cumsa’s NS-series in-mould sequential marker, available in the UK through DMS.
In-mould sequential marking cuts production process costs and eliminates the need for non-permanent secondary marking operations, such as label application or ink marking. The six numeral configuration of the marking equipment enables 999 999 parts to be uniquely marked with numbers that are large enough to be read quickly and easily.
The process is simple. A bar is installed on the ejector plate that actuates the unit’s mechanism and changes the number each time the plate is moved forward.
As ejection is forward-oriented, the mechanism does not interfere with the plastic material in the mould at the time the change occurs. More articles from DMS Ltd: |
