UKAS accreditation

A visit by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) to Rolls-Royce confirmed the central role accreditation plays in today’s market.

The success of Rolls-Royce is founded on its ability to cut costs while maintaining quality through outsourcing certain key services such as calibration to UKASaccredited partners. This has allowed the company to focus on core activities.

In 2004, UKAS-accredited QinetiQ, a global defence technology and security company, secured a five-year, multi-million pound contract with Rolls-Royce to provide calibration and equipment support services to the company’s manufacturing operations.
